Finding Home

A conjunction in Nomad Fox's mind; carving his self finding focus & musical taste. It's not just a simple test of success in his passion for music and creating, its a mission of consistent battles to find ones self in life's fog as thick as that of London's in the 1920's. This stage of being a creative person seemingly births this need for constantly evolving ones attention to different masses of output. It subdues for a bit but the feeling comes back intermittently for some - to leave your current environment once it starts to cascade into emotions of feeling the void once again.

Fox has made music for almost 8 years with phases of releasing songs of rage and insightful lyrics of systemic racism, to ignant trap beats speaking of busting a nut on a girls nipples (incredible). The entirety of his identity changed innately, that perhaps even he didn't see coming once he moved out of his hometown to open his locked barriers of past confusion, lost, longing.

Currently living in VA its been over 2 years since the move from his home-state of MI, this change made a call for new inventive endeavors & ended up finding himself as a software engineer building code for USA Today. It was as if this new mental neural pathway unintentionally cement the control & precision skill for beats & expression of emotion. He once mentioned "coding made it easier to make beats, i can more easily find the structure and patterns". Intriguingly the shift of something completely different from his regular passion was a switch for the future mechanisms of his music to be refined.

Lance in his home in VA.

Nomad has recently released a beat tape called "Finding Home" on all streaming platforms that eloquently speaks thru the sounds of focus/discreet sadness but in a welcoming way. If you're into the 345 hour long lofi mixes on YouTube that put you in a trance, that's exactly what the tape entails. Softly put medium BPMs. This gives an example of his range whilst comparing to Fox's earlier songs/productions with influences from Earl Sweatshirt, X, and Flying Lotus atmospheres.

As for what Lance is working on, the sneak peak snippets embody his lyricism with production combined as he plans to experiment more and develop his sound. As far as I'm concerned, he has been releasing his best and most consistent music to date, his insight was spot on with how his new computer skills have changed his mental programming if you will, to see the tricks of making music. Nomad describes his own rage of the world & curiosity of self explore as his major influence. Music naturally has a guidance on others music but that comes to a halt for people like Lance when the origin of reasoning for this therapeutic need has strong differences..his seems to derive with powerful aura and purpose.

Keep a weather eye on the horizon of Nomads new music here.
