Everyone THINKS about making a difference. Everyone WANTS to make a difference. However not many put forth the effort in physical format and show true conviction of what they stand for through action. Jevon Taylor coming out of Denver, CO is one of those "doer's". Jevon started a brand that was birthed and inspired by his pillars of success being transformed in a way that he didn't see coming, until the last semester of college shifted a perspective from an entity of a situation, creating a whole new mindset for him and what his calling was.
False Ego started in his apartment in Wichita KA after Jevon was beginning to tap in to a newfound side of himself outside of basketball while working for a Wellness Coordinator at an Aviation Company. He always had a drive of wanting to create movements by way of networking, connections & leadership skills but within this experience as an intern he became highly intrigued by graphic design whilst in his room expanding his potential and knowledge on sustainability/marketing. This helped him create the character narrative of false ego from frequent and popular topics of things being wrong for a long period of time, us knowing what the problem is and what to do to fix it yet we never do. The brand encompasses not just a dope street-wear brand that's incredibly Eco-friendly but branches of community helping efforts in health conscious areas in general.
Jevon creates these logos mostly by himself but has a team of close groups/friends with similar interests that help him build gardens for communities for non profits, sends recycled materials to companies for air insulation, plants a tree for every purchase and even plans on going into sustainable architecture for cities that need it most. With his personal experience and perspective, there are also plans to focus also on changing the mechanism way of thinking thru politics, diversity in the culture and confidence through who you are as an individual.
It's not just a brand of Eco-friendly street wear for future fashion, its a movement for a cause to help individuals embrace their power. The reasons he chose to take this path were filled with not just words of affirmation on what he wants to do but actual facts of unfortunate circumstances from there not being as many brands taking advantage and helping the human being in such a fragile climate right now.

"After the first wash of a sweater it releases about 200,000 micro plastics straight back into the ocean."
The facts he laid out were insurmountably dangerous just to hear them from him. Fashion is the #2 polluter in the world. It takes up to 70 gallons of water for a single cotton t-shirt & up to 270 gallons for a pair of jeans. Jevon Taylor has plans in store to help rebuild and rekindle the environment not just locally but nationwide and change the culture of thinking on the surface level to deep rooted change in communities.
If you're looking for some spring attire that's clean AF & sustainable check out the upcoming collection on the False Ego site or visit Jevon Taylor's page here.
